The Story of Beans
THE STORY OF BEANS BEGAN WHEN CARLOS, AT JUST 11 YEARS OLD, HAD TO TAKE ON A GREAT RESPONSIBILITY AT HOME. AFTER HIS FATHER WAS IMPRISONED IN CUBA FOR POLITICAL REASONS AND HIS MOTHER FELL ILL, CARLOS AND HIS SIBLINGS TOOK ON ACTIVE ROLES TO HELP OUT. HIS WAS TO COOK, AND THE FIRST DISH HE MADE WAS BEANS. THAT HUMBLE YET SIGNIFICANT MEAL MARKED THE START OF HIS PASSION FOR COOKING AND HIS COMMITMENT TO HELP HIS FAMILY.
LA HISTORIA DE BEANS COMENZÓ CUANDO! CARLOS, CON TAN SOLO 11 AÑOS, TUVO QUE ASUMIR UNA GRAN RESPONSABILIDAD EN SU HOGAR. TRAS LA DETENCIÓN DE SU PADRE EN CUBA POR RAZONES POLÍTICAS Y LA ENFERMEDAD DE SU MADRE, CARLOS Y SUS HERMANOS TOMARON ROLES ACTIVOS PARA AYUDAR.
